Virago Alley is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that serves as a hub for knowledge exchange, skill development, and community building; uniting individuals as well as existing groups who share a passion for historic disciplines.

Virago Alley was formed to spearhead not only programatic platforms for historic martial arts and artisans like Warriors in Bloom and The Richmond Ren Faire, but to develop a physical brick & mortar community center that will provide a combat training facility, indoor archery range & dedicated workshop space representing various historical trades & crafts. This space will take our fight from backyards, garages, public parks & tennis courts to an accessible facility armed with tools & mediums to forge, play & create.

Warriors in Bloom and The Richmond Renaissance Faire serve as larger fundraising initiatives in an effort to bring this community center to life so that these skills & techniques can be celebrated, preserved & practiced year round.

Development of this physical location will not begin until after 2025 but you can show your support either through the purchase of a ticket to Warriors in Bloom, through your support of the 2026 Richmond Renaissance Faire or by simply making a tax deductible donation today.
